Twerton village hall is a lovely Victorian building set behind Twerton High Street. It was given to the people of Twerton by the Carr Family many years ago.
It is a charity and run by volunteers, the income from the hiring of rooms is invested back in to the hall.

Our highly skilled and empathetic team provides open and inclusive day services in Bath for adults who are deaf, deafblind or have hearing loss. People we support often have other complex needs too, such as a learning disability, mental health issues, an autism spectrum disorder, a physical disability, or dementia.
Our Day Service is all about supporting each person to develop new skills and experience new activities that they may never have had a chance to have a go at before, from ceramics to songwriting and drama. We communicate with each person in their preferred way, and we can also work with hearing people who have communication difficulties. We support people to socialise with those around them, developing their social skills and making new friends.

WebsiteSt Michael’s Church in Twerton is one of the oldest churches in Bath and probably the oldest building in Twerton, but its community of people is definitely not a relic of the past. It is part of a family of churches called ‘Marlbrook’. As a growing inter-generational, socially diverse community of people, they are passionate and creative, focused on serving everyone in Twerton. With a big heart for creating spaces of refuge and belonging, the vision is to see lives transformed and empowered to find security and significance. Projects include Lighthouse Cafe at Rose Cottage, Lighthouse Community Centre, and Lighthouse Chaplaincy in the local School.

Peoplercommunity are a completely self-funded organisation whose aims are to foster a sense of community pride and cohesion in a diverse yet deprived area through education/arts and nature/ green spaces within the community.
The main focus is working with cross demographics of the community and rebuilding the reputation of the Twerton ward community by facilitating projects that install positive mental wellbeing in the individuals and the wider community.
The key element to our organisation is collaboration and communication; this has led to the most positive outcomes in all our projects.
Listening to the residents and their needs.

The First Steps nursery was set up by the Twerton community in 1991 to provide high quality, low cost childcare and family services to give local young children the best start in life, and has supported hundreds of children and families over the past thirty years. The pioneering group of local residents, health visitors and teachers recognised the need for high quality, flexible and affordable childcare to address barriers to employment and ensure that children had the very best start to support their learning and development.
First Steps (Bath) has grown and now supports around 500 young children, and their families, at any given time through our Twerton Community Nursery and Early Years Centre, Moorlands Community Nursery and Early Years Centre, and Bath Opportunity Pre School (BOP), supporting young children with additional needs from across Bath and North East Somerset.
Working families need access to affordable, flexible childcare so First Steps Community Nurseries offer a range of sessions, term time and all year round at an affordable price. They support families on low incomes with free meals and snacks in the nursery for their children.
Their Community Nurseries provide quality, inclusive childcare and family support to enable children to enjoy education and learning in a warm, welcoming environment and support parents back into education, training and employment.
